Key Responsibilities

• Plan and sequence progressive operations for the layout and setting up of various fabrication machinery, including planning and acquisition of materials required.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal tools by operating mechanical equipment.
• Use blueprints or design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product.
• Ensure all environment, health and safety rules, requirements, and company policies & procedures are followed.
• Designs tools, jigs, and fixtures for use in fabrication and assembly of parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Perform other duties as required.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and 3+ years’ experience in tool making.
• US Person status required due to government contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Aerospace experience
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) welding experience with steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel
• Experience using CMM’s
• Advanced technical training school through apprenticeship and/or on the job training in tool and die making.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

Pratt & Whitney WITCHITA FALLS, TX is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
