Job description
At Crone Geophysics, we conduct geophysical surveys for mining exploration, often in remote locations throughout Canada and the world using our proprietary survey technology. The Field Department at Crone organizes the logistics of equipment and personnel required to conduct these surveys. As an Administrative Assistant in the Field Dept, you will help with general field logistics, equipment management, correspondence with clients and field personnel, and general record keeping. These duties might include:
- Travel Arrangements (Flights, Hotels, Work Visas etc.)
- Record Keeping (Tracking Equipment, Repairs, Equipment Audits etc.)
- Maintaining Field Logs and Records
- Assist with the field schedule which is regularly changing
- Generate and maintain SOPs and Field Manuals
- Preparing freight and customs documentation
- Coordinate with engineering dept for equipment troubleshooting, instructions etc.
- General job planning and forecasting
Due to the nature of this work, the various required arrangements are not always straight forward and can be logistically challenging, managing various expectations and often with tight timelines. The right candidate should be able to work well under pressure, be a self-starter and self-sufficient, a quick learner, and be able to think outside of the box. Ideally, you will have the following skills and experience:
· Proficient and familiar with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
· Methodical, detailed, and highly organized
· A related post-secondary education (preferred)
· Experience in personnel and/or freight logistics
· Great problem solving skills
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
