Provides analytical and operational support required for expansion of the outpatient specialty and retail pharmacies. Responsible for efficient and effective program performance by acting as the day-to-day resource for activities such as analytical/trending data and application of 340B regulations. Develops and cultivates internal and external collaborative relationships to support the program and assist in the optimization of retail and contract pharmacy programs.
Essential Job Duties:
- Utilizes knowledge of policies, system processes and outside regulatory agency requirements to provide expertise in developing innovative analytics and tools which improve the overall efficiency and profitability of the outpatient specialty and retail pharmacy programs.
- Reviews and reconciles 340B Contract Pharmacy invoices. Supports 340B audits as required. Assists in the performance of on-going risk assessments and develops Audit Reports and Plans of Corrections from stakeholders.
- Provides data analysis for operational and decision-making aspects of the specialty and retail program.
- Executes analyses based on clear objectives and utilizes results to identify trends and draw conclusions.
- Participates in departmental quality initiatives to support the growth of specialty and retail pharmacy programs and mission of the hospital.
- Implements and tracks outcomes of these initiatives. Works closely with departmental senior leadership to identify areas of need and opportunities for improvement.
- Develops and implements proactive systems to analyze departmental variances. Develops innovative tools and interventions to eliminate variances and improve performance.
- Supports department activities to ensure efficient and effective daily operations.
- Provide administrative support to department manager(s) for operational and financial activities.
- Assists in the development of new and revised policies.
- Ensures the distribution of relevant policies with summary and annotation of addition and changes.
- Coordinates project(s) activities ensure current projects are on schedule. Provides administrative and logistical support including meeting arrangement, progress tracking, and documentation as required.
- Assists in managing and ordering 340B inventory for outpatient pharmacy as needed Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of specialty and retail practice experience.
- Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find
- solutions.
- Strong problem solving abilities, attention to detail and multi-tasking .
- Solid understanding of financial concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Access
