The Director Business Development will be part of our Advance Automation Team; will extend our global reach through expert cultivation of new, untapped automation business opportunities and relationships. The ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build brands. They will be highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.
Key Responsibilities
Play an integral role in cultivating new leads and strategic partnerships to drive advanced automation market opportunities- Plan and coordinate necessary actions/strategy to penetrate new markets in advanced automation
- Develop and deliver Solutions based on Automation technology products, solutions, and services suitable
- Work cross-functionally with R&D, Product and Engineering leaders to understand business priorities and product roadmaps and execute on the strategy by working with key customers and partners.
- Develop suitable Sales Account Plan and Go-to-Market strategies
- Examines risks and potential for business opportunities
- Recruit potential customers for VOCs and help conduct VOC trials
- Successfully grow orders and sales, influence specifications, and support pipeline development efforts
- Be accountable for meeting or exceeding the orders, sales, and margin targets
- Shape and Deliver Value-Added propositions to customers and key accounts
- Provide technical expertise during customer presentations, demonstrations, evaluations, and testing
- Be an essential link between customers and marketing, engineering, and product development teams
- Develop and cultivate long-term relationships at all levels of customer organizations
- Provide market dynamics input, such as competitive intelligence and industry trends to the Marketing and technology team
- Participate and contribute to industry guides, conferences, and standards
You Must Have
- Experience in at least of the following domain: supply chain management, warehouse & distribution, or warehouse automation and robotics
- 10+ years experience in sales and business development including setting up frameworks and partnership models
- Excellent communication, presentation, and industry networking skills
- Track record of presenting and discussing strategic topics to customers and executives
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
We Value
- 15+ years experiences in sales or business development preferably across hardware, software, and services
- 5+ years of sales or BD experience across robotics, warehouse automation
- 3+ years project development and management strong business acumen with a results-driven mindset
- Existing relationships with key customers
- Active member with local and national relevant associations
- Motivated, self-directed, and confident member who can thrive in a dynamic environment
- An ability to negotiate and influence with (customers, management, Sr. leaders)
- An ability to lead through complexity and change
- Understanding & passion for of the supply chain automation and/or robotics space
- MBA
