QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have ACLS, PALS, BLS, and TNCC prior to start.
- 3+ years in leadership required.
- 3+ year of RN professional experience in an acute care setting required.
- Critical Access Hospital experience highly preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred).
- RN License in state of Nebraska preferred (must obtain once hired).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to effectively respond in a high stress environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be willing to work, as necessary, as a member of the nursing team when the need arises.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the management of patients and staff including daily activities in the nursing and emergency departments. As a Registered Nurse, the director assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care on a nursing unit and emergency room according to approved policies, procedures and standards of practice. Additionally, this position assists with the overall daily management of the acute/swing/emergency nursing departments and the clinical practice of nursing in the acute/swing/emergency care setting. The Nurse Director is mutually responsible for the provision of high-quality and cost-effective patient care with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), to ensure quality department outcomes which support the organization’s mission, visions and values. Furthermore, this role is to establish productive working relationships with the medical staff, ancillary departments, and is responsive to community needs.
Note: salary is dependent upon experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
