We are currently seeking aFinancial Analyst II who will be responsible for providing actionable financial analysis in support of critical initiatives for divisional leadership. This role will serve as a versatile player on the FP&A team, providing data and insights to stakeholders across the organization with a focus on business unit support. This role is based in St. Paul, MN and reports to the Financial Analysis Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with location GMs & Controllers to drive profit improvement at plants that require extra financial and operational support
• Leverage systems, reports, data, excel, and relationships to build analytical models and identify business drivers related to key strategic initiatives
• Engage in analyses and reporting to help improve our margin/cost structure in our business units
• Support business and business unit teams in developing their strategy & executing critical analyses
• Utilize and enhance business intelligence and planning tools
• Create recommendations around key business issues to present to Senior Leadership
• Performs other duties as apparent or assigned
• Analytical Ability: Effectively interpret how various components of a process or structure impact one another and draw accurate conclusions by interpreting data correlations. Use analytical methods appropriate to the situation and are quick to detect inconsistencies in available information. Anticipate problems, opportunities, and the needs of the business.
• Financial Acumen: Understand the financial framework of the organization. Use financial processes and metrics to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company. Interprets and uses financial data to make informed business decisions. Use cost-benefit thinking to set priorities and recognizes the impact of income and expenditure adjustments on individual projects and the organization overall. Possess a thorough understanding of financial statements and relationships between income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statements
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts, operating models, and cost accounting concepts a plus

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or finance-related curriculum. MBA or CPA is a plus
• 2-4 years of Financial Analysis or Accounting experience
• Excellent Excel skills. Understanding of business intelligence systems and data warehousing. Experience working with ERP systems is a plus
• Ability to travel up to 10%
