Ocean Atlantic Rentals is looking for a highly motivated, dependable individual that has a positive attitude, a great work ethic and a willingness to learn and grow with us in our golf cart department as a mechanic. The perfect candidate will be willing to perform a variety of tasks including routine maintenance to our golf carts and low speed vehicles. We are seeking a candidate that would enjoy troubleshooting and repairing electric golf carts in our Service Department as well as being on the road with golf cart deliveries. Our technician will gain exposure to all areas in the shop to build a variety of talents and strengths.

The ideal individual must be familiar with a range of tools in performing service work including wrenches, jacks, pressures gauges, computers, pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers and other basic handheld tools. There will also be use of pneumatic wrenches and other larger, more powerful tools.

The ideal candidate must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, be deadline & detail oriented, have a valid driver’s license with the ability to safely & regularly tow large trailers with company vehicles. Electrical and small engine experience is a plus.

Typical weekly work schedule is 40-45 hours including weekends (Saturday & Sundays are mandatory) with overtime pay available. Starting pay is $16/hr with the potential of $18/hr after 45 day evaluation.

A six (6) month evaluation will determine eligibility for year round employment, 401K, paid vacation and healthcare benefits.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Specialize in the repair of golf carts and cart systems
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance
• Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
• Assist stores in their daily capacity as required.
• Maintain good public relations with customers both on/off site.
• Must work weekends-Saturday & Sunday

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience with Golf Cart, Auto or Small Engine Repair
• Knowledge of shop equipment
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely & regularly tow large trailers with company vehicles.
• Ability to drive truck to pick up & deliver carts to customers
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• No drug or alcohol issues
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• High level work ethic
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• "Can-do" attitude being willing to do what it takes to achieve goals

Job Type: Full-time at $16-18/ hour.

Required experience: Mechanic: 1 year / Electrical: 1 year

Required license or certification: Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record
