Job description
As a Grove IT Systems Engineer, you’ll be part of our nationwide team tasked with building and maintaining the IT infrastructure and information systems that power Grove's day to day operations. You own all things hardware and software that help facilitate Grove’s daily business operations. We rely on numerous cloud technologies to minimize our footprint, utilize automation wherever possible to minimize manual recurring activities, and practice continuous improvement techniques to build upon infrastructure and systems.
We’re looking for action-oriented technologists who thrive in fast-paced high-growth environments, and who are looking to further develop their IT skills working with our existing nationwide team. This position is based in your home office and you will be supporting locations nationally with occasional domestic travel.
This position is based in your home office as well as on-site at the Reno office several times per month.
YOUR IMPACT & RESPONSIBILITIES
- You’ll work with internal customers and 3rd party vendors to extract technical requirements for projects, coordinate execution with cross-team technical resources, and communicate status updates with stakeholders (executives, middle managers, and end users).
- You’ll design, implement, administer and troubleshoot our IAM platform (Jumpcloud), and all of the associated SSO applications, directories, policies, API integrations, etc.
- You’ll design, implement, administer and troubleshoot our MDM platform (VMware Workspace One), and all of the associated device policies and settings, scripting, patching, etc. in a mixed OS environment (Windows, MacOS, iOS, and Android).
- You’ll design, implement, administer and troubleshoot common business and operations systems such as Warehouse Management Systems, Shipping Management Systems, Order Management Systems, Customer Relationship Management Systems, etc.
- You’ll create support documentation for end users and level 1 IT Support Technicians, and provide level 2 support when escalations are required.
- You’ll monitor and remediate common VPN, wireless, LAN, and ISP issues using Meraki and Palo Alto networking hardware and software.
- You’ll participate in an on-call rotation schedule to provide rapid response and resolution for round the clock major production impacting events across multiple locations.

ABOUT YOU
- You have hands-on experience designing and building an MDM and/or IAM instance from scratch
- You have 2+ years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing an MDM, IAM, or other cloud SaaS application integrated ecosystem
- You’re skilled working with Win10, Android, MacOS, and iOS operating systems in a cloud MDM environment
- You’re skilled using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, etc. to automate tasks. Bonus points if you also have experience working with APIs and application integrations.
- Huge plus if you hold a Security+ certification, and have experience in SOX compliance
