Title: Junior Front-end Developer (Co-op/Intern)
Term: January 2023- April 2023

Our team is expanding and looking for smart, technical and eager interns to mentor and develop. As a Junior Frontend Development Co-op, you will have a blend of responsibilities that will require a hands-on approach and result in being a key contributor to the production of software. This is an exciting opportunity for emerging talents to join the changing landscape of the mortgage industry. You are joining one of Canada’s leading providers of institutional mortgage software and will be supported by our team of seasoned and talented developers.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Work with internal stakeholders on development strategy and execution plans while meeting the functional requirements of the business
• Use effective communication skills to ensure projects and expectations are delivered successfully
• Ensure code is delivered in a timely manner and any issues are proactively communicated to the Development Manager and
• Work with one or many of the following technologies: JavaScript, ReactJS, Node, HTML/CSS.

Skills and Qualifications:

• In the process of completing a university degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience with a strong grasp in object-oriented programming
• Demonstrated proficiency with React application development through personal projects, work experience, or schoolwork
• Familiarity and experience with the technologies we work with considered an asset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• A passion to learn and build your technical skills
• Desire to gain work experience and build a foundation with a growing company
• Work well within a team and also independently
