NovinoPath Diagnostics is looking for a motivated Laboratory Assistant/Clerk who is responsible for working alongside Clinical Laboratory Personnel and Pathologists in our organization that provides diagnostic testing services to physicians, private healthcare offices, ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals and other healthcare facilities in Fort Lauderdale. An employee in this position provides broad support for the laboratory operations. The ideal candidate will perform a variety of routine duties in assisting the technical and professional personnel in the clinical laboratory. The core job functions are:

• Identifies, handles, and accessions patient samples requiring laboratory testing

• Ensures patient samples are properly labeled and ready for analysis

• Maintains required laboratory databases, quality control, files and logs system in a timely, neat and accurate manner

• Performs specimen processing, including but not limited to such as centrifugation, aliquoting, and volume measurement

• Accurately and efficiently manage data entry tasks with patient specimen information in the lab information system

• Ensure that each process of analysis and preparation is documented in accordance to the lab’s documentation guidelines

• Monitor inventory, requisition supplies prior to depletion; stock and maintain laboratory supplies

• Maintains assigned work area in a clean and orderly condition.

• Other duties, as assigned.

Position Requirements: The potential candidate must be:

• Hold a BS degree or higher

• Outstanding communication and organization skills

• Must demonstrate the ability to follow a series of steps without confusion or errors on an ongoing basis and retain the information once learned.

• Must be detail-oriented and ability to work independently, establish work priorities and to handle several tasks simultaneously for maximum department efficiency.

• Communication and interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with supervisors, co-workers and clients.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
