Job description

We’re Somadome, a meditation technology company on a mission to provide a world-class physical space for people to access the benefits of meditation in an ever noisier world. To date we have sold approximately 150 of our domes globally and have been fortunate to work with some of the world’s largest brands including Under Armour, Adobe, Barclays, Shiseido, Four Seasons, American Airlines, TED, SXSW, and more. We’re currently seeking an operational right hand to our leadership who is highly organized and thrives working on a small but high performing team where multiple hats are worn and competing priorities are the norm. You will work closely with our CEO and Director of Operations in many facets of the business day-to-day including project management, managing global shipping logistics, back office administration, marketing support, inventory management, accounts payables, and more.

If we were to confine this role to an archetype, it would be “The Organizer”. The Organizer for us is someone who is able to stay close to our daily operations and ensure that all details are being cared for. It is making sure a purchase order for a customer gets signed and properly filed in our system, a dome shipment gets picked up on-time from our warehouse, an order of spare parts from our supplier arrives and is properly organized in our warehouse and also accounted for in our tracking sheet, or that a field technician understands the details of a given white glove installation and has everything they need to do the job well.

You will receive hands-on training for all of your job responsibilities however some of the essential core competencies that are needed and can’t be trained for are…

  • Highly Organized: If you describe yourself as “Type A”, you will be a good fit. This is incredibly important. Scaling quickly requires superb organizational skills.
  • Self Directed: You will be provided with project scopes and deadlines, however, you need to be the type who can understand the bigger picture and distill it down into actionable steps, be able to think for yourself, manage your time effectively, roll up your sleeves, and get the work done. We are growing quickly and the ability to wear multiple hats is critical. On any given day you could be helping to craft a social media post, making an update to the website, helping a customer with their marketing materials, building an internal document, or updating our CRM.
  • Computer Savvy: A sound foundation that allows you to use a wide variety of software is essential. We work primarily in Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Google Drive) as well as Quickbooks, Airtable, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Apple Keynote, Mailchimp and Wordpress. We are looking for someone who has the ability to jump into and be effective with the basics of these programs.
  • Communication: Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and a bent towards always providing great customer service.
  • Ability to Prioritize and Work Efficiently: We enjoy joking and having fun, but when it comes to getting down to work our communication style is direct and we expect a high level of efficiency. It is important to understand we’re a small team working towards an ambitious goal and being as efficient as possible is incredibly important.
  • Be Coachable: This role is an opportunity for self-growth as much as it is an opportunity to help grow the business. We have a culture where we all learn from each other, and you will need to be open to this as well.

The position will start with a part-time evaluation period, approximately 20-25 hours per week for the first month, with the intention of quickly growing to a full-time position. We are scaling quickly and preparing to launch a second product along with a mobile app, which will greatly increase our workload. This role will grow as you do and is a direct reflection of your ability to take ownership and additional responsibility as the business grows. Please send a brief note outlining why you’re interested and why you feel you are the right fit along with your resume via email.

Thank you!
