We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to work within our Order Management team in Stafford, Texas. The overall responsibility of an order management analyst is to ensure that customer orders and production schedules are aligned to meet contractual delivery dates and optimize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of backlog priorities and overall order execution
  • Measure the overall site performance of initial Order commit date and through the site availability date and ensures discrepancies are identified and corrected
  • Ensures backlog aging is regionally tracked and any critical issues are identified and reviewed with a focus on both the solution and customer communication.
  • Track order cancellations, changes, delays and any associated cost recovery
  • Establishes an ongoing Past Due recovery plan with Manufacturing sites
  • Responsible for monitoring the completion of line items trough shipment
  • Internal first point of contact for the customer after the sales order confirmation.
  • Manage Customer change order requests that do not impact product configuration.
  • Provide varied phone and e-mail support to customers related to customer satisfaction issues.
  • Involved with proactive programs to advise customer in advance of any shipping/schedule changes including periodic meetings to review backlog of open orders.
  • Provide support to customers and sales team regarding expediting and shipping schedule commitments.
  • Support the external sales team where direct customer liaison is required
  • Provide shipment information
  • Ensure response to customer requests for information within 1 business day
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and Emerson sites regarding order related issues including order status, expediting requests, shipping requirements, and order prioritization
  • Accountability to ensure customer commitments are delivered upon
  • Develop strong and professional customer relationships at all levels
  • Communicate critical order delivery issues to sales, Customer Service Manager and Product Mangers as necessary
  • Work with Risk Analyst to clear credit blocks
  • Create track and manage committed dates on production schedules

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Associates Degree in Business or a technical field and minimum one (1) year of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and have a positive attitude
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent computer skills, ability to work with detail, solid math skills excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Detail and metric oriented
  • Team player
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

Additional Skills Required:

  • Excellent customer focus skills including interpersonal and communication skills are vital for this role. Listening skills are also important. Good organizational skills and problem-solving abilities are necessary. The successful candidate will have strong computer skills, ability to work with detail and solid math skills. Knowledge of valves and SAP would be valuable.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a team environment so the ability to be part of a team is critical. Work will be primarily conducted in a climate-controlled office setting with a minimal flow of people. Occasional work will take place in a manufacturing plant environment where high levels of noise and/or heat may occur.
