The Construction Technician is responsible for the placement of communications infrastructure and telecommunication pathway material. Construction Technicians unload and load materials, read plans and specifications, tend machines, and assist equipment operators and other construction/installation site workers.

Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Job site preparation to include taking appropriate steps to avoid hazardous conditions for work crew and the general public
• Assist construction equipment operators and installers; review and verify materials needed to complete an install
• Review, interpret, and evaluate assigned services requests, work orders, and blueprints/diagrams
• Understand the basic Scope of the Project and all aspects of pathway construction
• Understand and practice all safety procedures in compliance with the organization and OSHA standards
• Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• 1+ year of construction experience a plus
• AutoCAD/Visio experience a plus
• Knowledge of standard practices when operating power tools, survey and measure equipment
• Requires excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Compensation
Non-Exempt – Hourly $17.00 -$22.00
