Job Definition:

  • Catalog Data Management for assigned categories.
  • Product Attribute Maintenance.
  • New Item Inspection.
  • Works with Product Associate Lead to manage replacement parts approvals and ordering.
  • Works with Product Associate Lead in addressing product quality and customer claims.
  • Works with Product Manager to understand and communicate product knowledge across multiple departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages Catsy master catalog data template for assigned categories to ensure all item information reflected accurately.
  • Manages catalog proofing process for assigned categories.
  • Partners with Product Manager to ensure products are labeled, packaged, and tested in a timely manner and in accordance with all applicable laws.
  • Partners with Product Manager to maintain and update company vendor manual, and works with the Purchasing team to ensure changes/updates are properly communicated to all vendors.
  • Partners with Product Manager and Product Associate Lead to measure, organize and maintain current season samples in the New Item Room, utilizing data collected for catalog accuracy.
  • Assists Product Team in pre-show preparation such as tagging and scanning tests.
  • Ensures all artists have the correct signature label code and confirms all artist samples meet quality standards and are ordered and shipped on time.
  • Participates in new item inspection to ensure product information/compliance is followed.
  • Assists with Replacement Part(s) approvals and orders to overseas provided by the Quality Control Specialist.
  • Assists in weekly and quarterly product claims reporting and findings for assigned countries. This includes, but is not limited to: bin moves to bring inventory to QC for item inspection, performing drop-tests, packing evaluations, etc.
  • Acts as product liaison among all departments (Memphis-based product expert) by presenting new product launch to the office and addressing/educating common product questions.
  • Makes merchandise judgement calls based on situational analysis.
  • Serves as a backup to other Product Associate(s) when those team members are traveling for company business or utilizing PTO.
  • Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

Education: BS Degree in Merchandising, Marketing and/or Business preferred.

Experience:

  • Prior work experience with Product Information Management system, product catalogs, and product compliance a plus.
  • Prior work experience in the gift/home décor/design industry preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong ability to think independently and resolve problems.
  • Ability to make judgments that balance analytics with product knowledge.
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a diverse group of business partners.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and handle multiple projects effectively and calmly.
  • High level of experience and proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Products.
  • Sense of urgency and accuracy, with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 7 hrs./day including climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, bending and stooping.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
