The opportunity:

The Production Supervisor leads in driving plant goals and objectives along with continuous improvement in the overall manufacturing process with primary focus on Safety, Quality, and a reduction in overall Downtime.

As part of the division manufacturing Team, the Production Supervisor will report to the Plant Manager for supporting and executing set goals for optimal performance and growth; and build effective partnerships within the region to improve overall manufacturing best practices.

The Production Supervisor will also be engaged in the Plant’s Steering Team activities in alignment with the Daily Operating System and support the plant in the continued progress towards a sustainable, high-performing work system.

• Lead daily toolbox meetings with shift
• Ensure job functions are adhered, monitored, and documented
• Train employees in the proper operation and safety procedures of all plant equipment
• Ensure all necessary plant supplies are at adequate levels with costs controlled
• Timekeeping: Track employee attendance accurately, enforce plant attendance policy, and issue discipline when required
• Manage and adhere to plant vacation policy
• Provide feedback and accountability to plant leadership & production technicians
• Conduct performance reviews and enforce accountability
• Align key resources, using Line Balancing and Daily Management System to ensure we are working on the right priorities
• Identify system gaps and solutions to those gaps
• Identify improvement initiatives to drive overall system performance
• Support of overall plant needs, corporate Initiatives, outside contractors, and maintenance personnel
• Execute annual SMART goals
• Maintain and audit customer / press specification library

What you need to succeed:

• HS diploma required; BS preferred
• 2-3 years of flexographic printing experience
• 2-3 years of leadership experience
• Previous exposure/experience in manufacturing production environment
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent critical thinking skills
• Strong organization and attention to details
• Ability to lead team-oriented work groups to goals
• Previous customer service experience preferred
