This position helps to ensure our high standard of quality is maintained and reports to the Quality Assurance Manager as a part of the QA/QC department.

Responsibilities

• Evaluation, inspection, repair and testing of industrial cylinders, actuators, and other products
• Prepare evaluation documentation, testing, and/or other customer reports
• Performing receipt and in-process inspections of material, parts and components
• Helping to maintain inventory and traceability of parts and materials
• Help to track/maintain the test equipment and ensure its calibration remains current
• Providing manufacturing support. This may include assisting in the assembly and additional testing of items.
• Work with the sales and engineering departments to effectively evaluate returned items
• Work with all departments to efficiently process orders, specifically when special requirements are necessary

Qualifications

• Experience in inspection and /or manufacturing
• Mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of hand and hydraulic tools
• Experience with reading mechanical and GD&T drawings
• Experience in the use of digital and analog measuring devices (CMM, calipers, plug gages, ring gages, height gages, micrometers, indicators, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. (occasionally to 70 lbs.)

Other Relevant Skills

• Nuclear industry experience (10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, ASME NQA-1) helpful
• Experience with ASTM and ASME Quality Standards
• Dimensional calibration and testing experience/knowledge
• Experience with driving a forklift and using overhead cranes
• Knowledge of ERP systems
• Experience with CNC machining a plus
