Receiving Clerk
Detroit, Mi
(near Hamtramck)
Co. is a steel processing plant
Pay rate: $18/hr, based on exp.
Job Responsibility:
Verifying all incoming material has correct shipping & receiving information, take pictures, and log all information into computer system while keeping the safety of yourself and fellow employees a priority.
Requirements:
Familiar with Microsoft Office preferred.
Knows fractions and decimal equivalents can read a tape measure.
Using a mic-to-mic thickness of steel.
Using a tape measure to measure coils.
Input data into the computer system.
Cut bands to decan boat iron.
General housekeeping daily.
Assist on banding line packaging steel.
Any other general labor duties assigned.
Other:
Has a valid Michigan driver’s License.
Has general shop and manufacturing knowledge.
Experience with various steel types is preferred.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
General computer knowledge.
Job Classification: Hourly, Full-Time
Hours: 6/7am start, 8-10 hrs available per day, Mon- Sat.
Permanent Job – 90 day contract to direct hire
