Job description

We are looking for a service advisor/writer to join our team in New Stanton, PA.The primary work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with rotating Saturdays with the same working hours.

Our Service Advisors are responsible for scheduling service work in the service department and for selling additional needed service to customers. In addition, this position may be trained to handle ordering parts our technicians need to complete work orders. Exact starting salary will be determined by documented previous experience and knowledge.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate with service customers to determine the nature of the mechanical problems

· Secure agreement from customers before repairs; cover cost estimate; and approximate time when truck’s work will be completed.

· Handle minor customer complaints and misunderstandings.

· Follow up progress of each repair order during the day, contact customers by telephone regarding changes in the estimate or time promised.

· Coordinate work assignments for service technicians.

Requirements

· Previous heavy duty truck service or automobile service advisor/writer or mechanic experience a plus. Current CDL also a plus.

· Demonstrated customer service skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills

· Enthusiastic demeanor even in a fast-paced environment

· Solid computer skills to include Microsoft Office programs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
