Job description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Entry Level Software Engineer/Web Developer to join our growing team. As a member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our web-based applications using a variety of tools and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain web-based applications.
- Train with and learn from experienced IT staff within our organization, and from customer IT staff.
- Utilize Classic ASP, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server, SSIS, Informix, and T-SQL to develop high-quality applications.
- Create and maintain code documentation.
- Participate in code reviews and testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines and goals.
- Stay up-to-date with new trends and technologies in web development.
- Provides support including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Assists with the analysis of reports as needed.
- Provides on-call support for systems problems.
- Develops applications that will be used to enhance business processes in distribution applications.
- Develops and provides instructional classes to end-users in developed applications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Prefer 1-2 years of experience in web development.
- Strong knowledge of Classic ASP, ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server, SSIS, Informix, and T-SQL.
- Willingness to learn and develop information technology skillsets.
- Experience with web development frameworks and libraries (jQuery and Bootstrap).
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
