JOB SUMMARY
Location: Onsite at CSI Amarillo, TX Office
NOTICE: This internship is only for current students at WTAMU. You must still be in school at WTAMU to be considered.
Pay: $20 / Hour
CSI Interns serve as an extension of the individual departments where they are assigned. Interns work alongside teams across the enterprise to not only further their understanding of their coursework but to also become an equal contributor to their assigned department. The interns are given opportunities to work alongside senior members within their teams to complete on-going projects and contribute to the overall success of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
- Provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
- Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present the final project during the internship.
- Engages with customers or clients and provides service and/or sales.
- Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.
- Learn and becomes proficient in internal software systems.
- Performs other duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certifications:
At least taken software development classes (see experience below)
Experience:
- Object-oriented Development
- VB.NET and/or C#
- SQL
- Linux
- COBOL
Required Skills:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Reasoning, analytical, and troubleshooting.
- Time and project management with the ability to multitask and meet department expectations.
- Teamwork and collaboration.
- Basic computer and technical skills.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Administrative skills.
RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
This position requires regular contact both inside and/or outside the company.
DECISION MAKING
The position requires the use of judgment to plan and perform; general decisions are made to solve a problem or select a course of action for a standard or recognized method of operation
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General Supervision. Assignments are both task-oriented and objective-oriented. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgement and overall adequacy and accuracy.

Physical Demands:
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. This position requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). This position requires the basic need to look at a computer screen for up to 8 hours a day. This position may require the ability to lift twenty (20) lbs.
