Blue Ribbon Restaurants is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant for our New York office. The Staff Accountant will report to the Controller and be responsible for full cycle general ledger accounting, monthly income statement and balance sheet including analysis, accruals, amortization of prepaid expense, and reporting.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• · Ongoing review of activity for restaurants ensuring proper expense coding, accurate flash reporting, etc.
• · Key point of contact with GMs of restaurants for any financial questions.
• · Sales reconciliation, credit card reconciliation and delivery platform reconciliation
• · Accounts Payable
• · Monthly analysis and review of activity to determine necessary accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses and understanding of restaurant performance.
• · Monthly Bank reconciliation.
• · Monthly balance sheet reconciliations with any necessary adjustments.
• · Weekly & Monthly reporting including income statement and balance sheet
• · Monthly closing
• · Special projects as the arise.
• · Accounting Software: Compeat (a plus).The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and must have:
• · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business-related field
• · 3-4 years of experience in accounting
• · Strong excel and computer skills
• · Ability to work independently and with the entire accounting team
• · Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
• · Restaurant or retail experience highly desired
• · Pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
