Cape Porpoise Kitchen is the Specialty Market of Kitchen Chicks Catering in Kennebunkport, ME. We are professional, friendly, customer-centric market specializing in gourment-to-go soups, salads, sides, entrees, and an extensive selection of baked good and desserts. We offer specialty coffee drinks, breakfasts and lunch. Our store includes a wide selection of fine wine, craft beers and retail items from New England. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service, in a friendly enviroment.

We are looking for a well-rounded, high-energy leader with excellent verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will work directly with our customers to make sure they are fully satisfied with their experience and assist our sales team in increasing their sales. The ideal candidates must have management experience in any or all the following: restaurants, food safety, grocery stores, specialty markets or retail management. A working knowledge of Fine Wine and Craft Beer is a plus. Hospitality and Food Service experience is a bonus! As the Store Manager, you are responsible to maintain the brand image, store culture and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the store and employees.
• Supervise store operations, performance, and profitability.
• Ensure that all applicable laws and regulations are adhered to and that the store is in compliance with them.
• Know the merchandise, services, policies and procedures of the store.
• Know the products and services of competitors.
• Manage the staff's schedule including payroll and checking in staff on schedule.
• Communicate to staff information, policies, procedures, or issues of importance.
• Cooperatively work with upper management to establish policies that promote cooperation between departments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Shift:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability

• Kennebunkport, ME 04046: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
