Goopter is a startup eCommerce company that focuses on mobile eCommerce solutions for small to medium-size business owners, we are an innovative, fast-growing high tech company based in Burnaby. Currently, we are looking for a junior mobile app developer to participate in our mobile app development project.

As an iOS Mobile Application Developer, you will participate in full-cycle mobile application development. This involves the design, development, testing, bug fixing, and enhancements of our mobile eCommerce products.

Responsibilities include:

• This position is for student fall or winter internship only, candidate should possess citizenship or PR status, studying Computer Science or related field(preferred in a BC based university, exception for outstanding students outside of BC) and able to provide current school enrolment letter;
• Serving as an iOS development expert and a key contributor to our mobile business
• Contributing to the functional design and architecture of customer-facing, high trafficked mobile applications- Confirm requirements, coding, testing, analysis, design, definition, development, and implementation of mobile application
• Building complex iOS mobile Applications; assist in web frontend development, bug fixing;
• Ensure expectations are met and work within tight project management schedules in an Agile development environment

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Full-cycle development experience with mobile applications (iPhone or Android)
• 1+ years of experience with Swift, Kotlin, or Java;
• Experience with Git, SQL, XML, JSON, and Web Service;
• Proficient in fundamentals of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis;
• Knowledge of web service technologies and services (specifically REST APIs);
• iPhone and/or Android experience (both are a plus, with no hesitation to jump in and learn a new platform if required)- Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical person;
• Experience in web technologies is a plus: PHP, React, Redux, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, HTTP, Nginx, HTML5, and familiarity with Unix/Linux- UI Design experience for mobile or the web;

The position will start with 4 months contract, there's opportunity to move into full-time position if you can demonstrate outstanding performance.

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
