Description:

Reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain and Demand Planning, the mission of this role is to ensure maximum stock management with the most efficient and cost-effective coverage of materials inventory. You have hands-on experience in operations, inventory planning, and management as well as a strong understanding of ingredient and product life cycles. You must be able to manage a large portfolio, be solution-oriented, and able to improve efficient processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, react and manage changes in demand compared to changes in availability to manufacturer
  • Solve and recalculate the system to establish shorts, risks, and excess
  • Assess and validate what has changed from the previous position on a bi-weekly basis and communicate risks to the manager when needed if exceptions exceed the scope of control
  • Daily inventory assessments to determine shorts, risks, and excess to maintain optimal inventory levels across channels
  • Assess replenishment and supply error by SKU in vendor performance and define sufficient safety stock
  • Purchase materials to carry adequate safety stock
  • Manage the inventory from obsolescence and aged perspective
  • Vendor management and compliance responsibilities and monthly vendor compliance reporting to the manager
  • Monthly reporting to finance on rolling 12-month horizon purchase plans and budget to actuals reporting on purchases
  • Monthly obsolescence and aged inventory report
  • Systems management (MOQ, lead times, safety stocks, costs, and purchase prices)
  • Own new launch management from an inventory planning perspective, working closely with Commercialization and Marketing Project Managers to coordinate with vendors, all materials required as defined in each step of the stage-gate process, and ensure launch at the pre-established date

Requirements:

  • Exceptional contract development and negotiating skills
  • Solid decision making, judgment, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and process work quickly and accurately, dealing with interruptions and changing priorities
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Experience in the nutrition industry preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required
  • Strong typing and data entry skills with advanced computer skills required
  • Demonstrated superior attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented work environment and to focus on tasks independently

Compensation & Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $60,000.00 per year
