The pay range for this position at the commencement of employment is expected to be between $85k-$90k per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, in addition to a full range of generous medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
This position is responsible for the timely preparation and filing of property tax reports for all facilities/shops and all sales tax compliance tasks for the company. Additionally, this position assists with state income tax compliance.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and process property tax returns for all Plant/Office/Shop locations.
  • Prepare and process monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use tax returns for applicable cities/states
  • Research and communicate tax compliance rules and regulations to Tax Manager
  • Responsible for handling all property and sales tax audits
  • Assisting Tax Manager with State income tax compliance
  • Prepare specified month-end journal entries related to tax
  • Identify opportunities to enhance technology and innovation that will enhance departmental effectiveness including the effectiveness of new systems in order processing for efficient tax filings.
  • Ensure adherence to security and safety policies best practices and controls.
  • Assist with various special projects as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Accounting. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in personal computer skills, including spreadsheet and word processing software; proficiency in navigating the Internet.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks; strong organizational skills.
  • Prior experience in the preparation of multi-location, multi-state property tax returns, and sales/use tax returns are helpful.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and manage change efficiently, proactively, and in a positive manner.
