Triple Eight Transport is an asset based carrier company with terminals in Abbotsford, Calgary and Edmonton! We provide Full Truck Load Transportation Services to and from major cities in Western Canada and Western US.

Triple Eight Transport Inc. is growing and is in search for an experienced Truck/Trailer Mechanic to join our professional team in Abbotsford!

As Truck/Trailer Mechanic, you will work to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. The Truck/Trailer Mechanic is responsible for care and maintenance of all machinery and equipment for Triple Eight Transport. Travel may be required for this position.

Responsibilities will include

• Troubleshooting and repair of trailers and tractors
• Documentation of work performed
• MVI / CVI Inspections every 6 months
• Perform daily safety checks
• Maintain a clean work area including tools and equipment's
• Maintain safe work environment

Qualifications

• CVSE certification, Red Seal or BC Certified Commercial Transport Mechanic Preferred
• 3 years of experience in a similar position preferred
• Valid BC Driver's License Preferably Class 5 or Class 1
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proven team player with ability to align position goals with corporate strategic goals
• Must be legally allowed to work full time in Canada
