As an iTutor Educator, you’ll deliver virtual academic instruction to assigned students and lead them through successful course completion. You’ll be given access to iTutor’s Assignment Opportunity Boardand have the ability to choose assignments that match your interests and availability.

What is an Educator Talent Pool? *iTutor is in a phase of rapid growth, and we anticipate an expansion of assignments in a variety of states and certification areas. As an Educator in our talent pool, you’ll gain access to our assignments so that you are ready to go when an assignment is available for you!*

Responsibilities

• Lead students through successful course completion.
• Promote creativity and excitement in the virtual learning environment.
• Create strategies to engage and nurture student learning and student relationships.
• Provide remote instruction to students using iTutor’s virtual platform with live 2-way audio and video, a virtual whiteboard with drawing and writing tools, document and image upload features, video streaming, and screen-sharing capabilities to students who may be online or onsite.
• If not provided by the school, develop curriculum aligned with state, district, and grade-level standards for the subject area(s) being taught.
• Communicate regularly with students using_ Chat features _of the LMS and our internal messaging system.
• Record keeping on student grades and performance is required.

Qualifications

• Must presently hold an active, state-issued teaching certification.
• Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in the United States.
• Must have a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, headset, and reliable internet access.
• Prior online teaching experience is a plus!

• Become an Education Entrepreneur- This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position, where you will have access to a range of other assignments that match your certification with rates ranging from $28-$35/hour (*Assignment rates may fluctuate based on many factors including time of year, demand, and subject. • Teach from Home- You’ll need your own computer and reliable internetaccess, but you won’t have to leave home. All instruction is online with access to technical support.

All applicants must submit a resume and a copy of their active certifications as attachments to their initial application. Our educator application process also includes submitting a short demo lesson. More detailed info on the demo will be sent after the initial application is submitted.
