Section 2: Job Summary

The VP of Marketing will be responsible for defining and implementing best-in-class marketing programs for the It Cosmetics Skincare category for the US market, which is the vast majority of the global business today. They will be responsible for the development of the 360 marketing plans aimed at driving category growth within the US. In addition to managing the skincare marketing team, they will also oversee the Online + Offline lead for the category to ensure our products are coming alive on site as well as in store across our key specialty retailers (Ulta, Sephora) as well as the Social & Content lead.

Section 3: Job Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the US marketing strategies for the skincare category; develop 360 strategy for all launches
  • Partner with global marketing on specific product needs and ensure US based products and samples are produced when necessary
  • Develop and own an integrated, engaging and consistent consumer brand experience (360/Digital/Retail/Social/Creative/Sales)
  • Lead communication strategy for the skincare portfolio within the US market consistent with the brand’s sense of purpose
  • Manage the development/product budget (forecast, value analyses, brand profitability, development costs, etc) as well as the budgets for key programs
  • Continue to grow existing product collections; through knowledge of competitive landscape, identify key marketing opportunities to creatively drive brand awareness within US market with maximum impact
  • Identify opportunities to continue to enhance the customer experience through an omnichannel approach focusing on new customer acquisition & to ultimately drive sales
  • Define clear messages to present to senior leadership and accompany the teams in the preparation of the meetings
  • Manage, train and develop the skincare team

Section 4: Job Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience successfully guiding strategic marketing, branding and product management within consumer goods business. Experience within luxury and/or cosmetics is strongly preferred.
  • Passionate about consumer trends and market needs within cosmetics
  • Creative thinker who challenges the status quo
  • Exceptional presentation & organizational skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and against tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally to lead cross-functional departments
  • Strong people management experience and must possess leadership capabilities
