Background

Edgecom Energy is a purpose-driven clean-tech software firm. We deliver software solutions and consulting services to some of Ontario’s largest energy consumers. Our mission is to remove the barriers large energy consumers face in reducing carbon emissions and we achieve this through a suite of web-based energy and emission management tools.

Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, manufacturing plants, real estate investment trusts, greenhouses, and everything in between.

You will be reporting directly to the director of the business manager. You will get a hands-on perspective of the energy transition as it's happening in real-time, working with some of the largest and most sophisticated energy consumers in the world. You will be at the forefront of tech, sustainability, and energy in a mission-driven start-up.

What you will do in more detail:

• Develop innovative submetering and sustainability websites
• Develop new user-facing features
• Design wireframes for new designs
• Improve user experiences of website

What you bring to the table:

• Passion and Understanding of Energy Management and Sustainability reporting tools, electricity and energy markets, and programs.
• Strong website design skills.
• Understanding of UX design concepts.
• Strong experience with wireframing tools (figma, balsamiq, adobe XD, and etc)
• Strong knowledge of layout designs such as Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
• Knowledge of deployment of websites
