We are currently searching for a dynamic, District/Account Manager – Pacific Northwest to grow the robotic automation business in the Pacific Northwest. (Based in Portland area to cover Washington/Oregon). The District/Account manager will be directly selling applications in all areas – stand-alone units and systems business – to end users and managing FANUC America Integration partners within the assigned territory.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic go-getter who has a background in robots and robotic applications, and is familiar with the region, with developed relationships and established contacts within the defined customer base.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Manage all activities within specified accounts including all direct selling efforts to plants and engineering offices to meet or exceed yearly established targets in units, revenue, and gross profit.
- Develop and implement strategic selling plans for accounts. Identify complex sales situations, and manage and direct company resources to win the business.
- Manage FANUC America integrator (ASI) network throughout the Pacific Northwest and expand this network to increase sales to end users.
- Develop good relationships with key personnel at all levels of plant, engineering and management within accounts and establish FANUC as a sustaining resource.
- Initiate and establish direction and content of quotations by providing complete scope of work from customer.
- Provide pricing directions, and review quotation prior to submittal. Review proposals with customer for a clear and thorough understanding of the FANUC content and competitive advantages and negotiate to a successful sale maximizing FANUC profitability.
- Interface with FANUC resources and customer on sold projects to assure complete understanding of delivery.
- Participate in kickoff and status meetings to assure smooth project execution and complete customer satisfaction.
- Solicit input and feedback from customers on product operation and new requirements to provide direction on product improvements and new products to increase FANUC s competitive advantages and market share.
- Manage company assets through accurate monthly forecast, and support in the collection of overdue payments.
- Act as main interface for customer to assist with issues such as robot delivery information, spare parts quotes/delivery, service issues, product problems, etc.
- Distribute product sales and technical information to integrators and develop solid relationships within these firms. Review robot applications for conformance to product specifications and capabilities.
- Organize, schedule and prepare product presentations/demonstrations for customers with support from engineering and/or marketing as required.
- Extensive travel required, including overnight travel to customer plants, shows and other event outside of territory is required.
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience with customer interface or selling, preferably in a capital equipment environment preferred
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience preferred
- Technical competency in automation applications from actual plant experience or formal education.
