IMMEDIATE OPENING-Candidate should possess both a NJ Pharmacy Technician license and be a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician. Job duties to include assisting pharmacist in filling and dispensing prescription for patients. Orders and stocks drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise. Updates patient records and inventory, processes invoices, and makes accounting entries using computerized system.
Essential functions and tasks include assisting customers at counter, intake and entering prescription information into pharmacy computer. Answering phones and providing prompt and courteous service including answering questions at pharmacy window and directing patients to product location. Assisting in filling prescriptions which includes counting, pouring, labeling, submitting prescriptions to insurance. Following security and safety procedures including securing department by appropriately storing or disposing of confidential documents and by using proper disposal methods for immunization supplies and hazardous waste. Cleaning department by sweeping, mopping, spraying, wiping, and dusting. Assists in other departments at the direction of the Pharmacist-in Charge'
